Description

Professional pastry artist and cake decorator Brittany Dollar will be teaching this 6-week course for homeschoolers on Wednesday mornings at her home in Meadowbrook. Dates: August 17 - September 21, 2022 Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Ages: 10-14 Location: Brittany Dollar's home in the Meadowbrook neighborhood off Hwy 280 in Birmingham, AL Spots available: 9 Cost: $290 Course Curriculum: Week 1 - How to make fondant and how to make a fondant logo. Week 2 - How to use a fondant mold and make fondant flowers. Week 3 - How to make fondant figurines. Week 4 - How to pipe various buttercream flowers and borders; how to transfer an image onto a cake. Week 5 - How to prepare cake batter, how to bake a cake, how to store cakes, and how to make buttercream. Week 6 - How to final coat a cake and add a smear design. Students will then use the tools learned and elements made during the course to design and decorate a 6-inch, 2-layer cake using their own creativity (or sample designs provided). The completed cake will have elements from each week and will be taken home at the end of the course.

Cancellation Policy

We cannot issue refunds or credits for cancelations in the 48 hours before a class. If you cancel before the 48 hours prior to class we can either issue a refund or use your payment as a credit towards another booking in the future.
