Homeschool Easter Cake Decorating Class
Wednesday, April 5, 10am-12pm, Ages 8-14, Meadowbrook
Description
The perfect cake to bring to Easter dinner! In this class, students will learn how to make buttercream frosting, color it, and apply both piping techniques and a smear design. Each student will take home their own 6" two-layer cake at the end of class. Learning Objectives: - how to make American Buttercream from scratch - why we use vegetable shortening in buttercream and where it comes from - how to make a smear design using an offset spatula - how to pipe a buttercream border Note: -Please send your child to class with a water bottle with their name on it. -Dress code is closed-toe shoes and hair tied back. -Class is at the home of Brittany Dollar in Meadowbrook.
