Description

Come join us for a Mardi Gras celebration! In this class, students will learn how to make king cakes from scratch. We'll begin the class by making a homemade yeast dough. Then, students will take turns rolling out the dough, spreading the butter, and sprinkling the cinnamon sugar mixture. Each student will cut out their portion of dough and twist it into a king cake. After they're baked, the king cakes will be topped with a glaze and sugar sprinkles. A light snack will be provided. During which, we'll discuss the history behind Mardi Gras and Fat Tuesday.
