About Us

Jessica Hamby
Founder/Owner
Our Mission & Vision
Our mission is for kids to become comfortable in the kitchen, gradually moving towards kitchen independence, all while having positive experiences around food and cooking.
We believe baking in childhood lays the foundation for cooking and meal preparation in the college years and beyond.
Baking fosters positive mental health through mindfulness, creativity, and generosity, and we want to see kids discover this helpful outlet.
Our Team
We have two amazing ladies at the helm of our daily operations.
Their energy and dedication truly make a difference!

Amy Jones
Customer Service
Since Itty Bitty Bakers began, Amy has played a pivotal role in guiding the initiative. She was the first friend Jessica approached with the concept of kids baking classes, and she continues to be one of it's biggest supporters.
Currently, Amy plans and coordinates private classes and in-house field trips while also addressing any customer inquiries or issues that may arise.

Melissa Carden
Teacher Support
Melissa is well-versed in all things related to cooking and baking, having worked as the Commissary Director for VeryVera, a nationally recognized catering and mail-order food company. In 2019, Melissa joined Jessica in teaching kids baking classes, then in 2023, moved into management.
Currently, Melissa oversees the hiring of new teachers while providing assistance to established teachers for everything from food allergy issues to the Youth Helper program.
We believe that teaching children how to bake is more than just a fun activity, it’s a life skill. That’s why we have a team of passionate and experienced teachers that are ready to share their love for baking with every child that walks through their doors.

Having enough hands on deck is crucial when it comes to working with kids in the kitchen. That’s why we have a Youth Helper Program where dedicated young people ages 11-17 assist our teachers during classes and camps for younger kids. The Youth Helper program not only helps our teachers, but also instills a sense of responsibility and leadership in our young volunteers. To apply to become a Youth Helper, click here.
