Think Cheez-its. Or, think Goldfish. These land somewhere between copycat Cheez-its and copycat Goldfish crackers. They are 1000% delicious - especially warm right out of the oven.

This recipe requires getting out the food processor, but once you taste these crackers, you won't mind. Plus, kids love being in charge of the "pulsing" button. It's just so fun.
If squares are too boring, use these mini food cutters and kids can say they made their own Goldfish crackers!
Homemade Cheese Crackers
Ingredients:
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 tablespoons butter, cut into chunks and kept cold
1 cup flour (can sub gluten free 1:1 flour, if desired)
¼ teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Combine the cheese, butter, flour, and salt in a food processor. Pulse until the mixture looks crumbly.
Add the milk and pulse until a dough forms
Remove the dough from the food processor and separate into two balls
Flatten the balls into discs, cover in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 15 minutes (or up to 3 days)
Remove discs from fridge and place on parchment paper, then roll the dough to flatten to ¼ inch thickness
Cut the dough into 1-inch squares using a pizza wheel (or cut it into fun shapes with mini cookie cutters!)
Transfer crackers on parchment paper to a baking sheet
Poke a toothpick into the center of each cracker to make an air hole, then bake for 8-12 minutes. Let cool completely. Enjoy!
