Did you catch us on TV?! Brittany Dollar and I got to be on Birmingham's own Talk of Alabama with Katherine Page at the ABC 33/40 studio on January 23rd. We were able to showcase recipes and share a little about what we do here at Itty Bitty Bakers.
Brittany shared about making Taylor Swift-inspired hot cocoa bombs at an upcoming class. I was able to share my COOKIES as BIG as YOUR FACE recipe from my upcoming If You Give a Mouse a Cookie themed summer camp.
If you've attended one of our classes, you know that we are about far more than the finished product. We were able to share about our commitment to education and to building confidence and autonomy in the kitchen (while doing so safely).
I demonstrated one of my favorite kitchen tools - the kid-safe knife; and Brittany highlighted our excellent youth helper and internship programs, which ensure each child has the attention they need.
In case you missed it, you can watch our segment here:
While our finished products are both visually appealing and delicious, our classes remind kids that cooking is fun. Whether we're making friendship bracelets or dancing while our cookies cool, the kitchen is the place to be!
As we gear up for summer camps, rest assured that our teachers are planning far more than recipes! We can't wait to share the joy of baking with you!
