Spring Garden Baking Class

Saturday, May 2, 3pm- 5pm, Ages 7-12, Taught by Mrs. Laurey in McCalla

50 US dollars

Service Description

April showers bring May flowers! At Spring Garden Baking Class, kids will make two delicious recipes: one sweet - Flower Pot Dirt Cakes, and one savory - Flower Focaccia Bread. The dirt cakes consist of making chocolate cake as edible "soil" layered with a pudding/Cool Whip mixture and crushed Oreos. They'll be decorated with artificial flowers (or possibly a flower craft!) and gummy worms. All non-edible components like the flower pot and flowers will be cleaned and sanitized thoroughly prior to class. Each student will take home one completed flower pot. Maybe an early Mother's Day gift for mom? The flower focaccia breads are a true masterpiece. We will make the dough from scratch and adorn it with fresh herbs and vegetables to create scenes of flowers, gardens, and nature. Learning how to make bread is a true skill that kids won't want to miss!
